Posted: Sat 6 June 2009 10:48:42 Post subject: Adjustment of G25 Throttle Possible? |
 |
Hi,
I have finally upgraded to broadband so I could download the total package of the Rallysim mod. Top effort.
Question: is there any way to adjust the dead zone of the throttle within the game (you can do this inside Race Driver II (V8 supercars II) game configuration)? I have a major issue with how far I have to depress the throttle before I get any response (about 15mm). In oversteer situation, this is causing doubt of when to apply the throttle to power out of the apex, resulting in understeer, as I am ususally too late with the throttle. I am finding it nearly impossible to power on early enough.
It would have been ideal if the designers of the wheel had fitted an adjustor underneath the throttle pedal to manually adjust the dead zone. Thanks. |

Thanks for the response. I had read about the DX Tweak tool but was unaware it could adjust the throttle to. Cheers. |

Wow. What a difference the tweak tool makes. Able to carry significantly more speed, often in higher gear, through corners, resulting in superior stage times.
I used to use a Saitek R440 & after getting used to the G25, I have to say, it makes for a far more pleasurable driving experience. Add to that, the accuracy of the wheel's directness, the foot clutch & simulated handbrake (I use the shifter as handbrake) & it makes for a great product.
You have to be far more accurate in your turn-in timing but is easier to control the back-end on the corner exit now I have confidence in the throttle response. Am setting PB stage times quite consistently. At the moment, anyway. Will soon reach my ability threshold though |

And 2 most important in my opinion is to sett

Thanks | Have only just started to use this tool (I use XP, as well). From what I have figured to date, the deadzone settings aren't retained (ie. you have to reset every time) in XP. Other than that, I don't believe there are any other problems. |

tony | My degrees of rotation differ by a whole 1 degree: 276. I arrive at that by a very complicated formula: I turn the wheel the wheel until my forearms just touch. That is the maximum rotation I desire Other than that, they are the same. |
